"Mom"

Today, Sam said the word "mom" for the very first time. Sure, he had babbled "mama-mama-mama" before, but today I think he really meant it. (And there was a witness!) Grandma Yori was here to watch him while I headed off to work, and he walked into the kitchen towards me and said "Mom", just one syllable, like he meant it!

It's funny how such a small and simple word can mean so much.
